Tina's Testimonial

Confessions of an eyelash addict.

Since I can remember I’ve been obsessed with Eyelashes.  LONG ones to be exact.  And anyone who knows me, knows it’s a feature I find extraordinary.  In my opinion, it’s the magic to being pretty & beautiful.  To me they make all the difference.  As a girl, I yearned for them, I envied girls who had them and secretly would pray for them (true story).  In fact, I’ve told some of my closest friends that if they ever came out with an operation to make Eyelashes longer, I would do it.  I’m not the kind of person who likes to have “fake” anything.  From clothes to hair.  Plastic surgery, tummy tucks…none of that would ever make my wish list.  I do color my hair but other than that I’ve always been happy with who I am & what I’ve been given.  Recently the buzz on eyelashes has been rampant…on fake ones, on extensions on anything that makes your lashes long, thick & luscious.  I ‘ve read numerous articles and tried tricks and so many mascaras I can’t even count, to which I’ve NEVER found successful.
While talking with my roommate one night she mentioned she was getting mink eyelash extensions.  I had never heard of “mink” eyelash extensions and immediately my ears perked up!!  I fired question after question and even asked my roommate if I could join her.  I felt hesitant and luckily, Tracy’s (my roommate) appointment wasn’t for another week.  I investigated.  I thought.  I thought some more.  It was not something I felt completely sure about but what I did know is that they aren’t harmful, they don’t have any side effects and usually they cost an arm and a leg.  Jenni, Tracy’s friend, gives a steal of a deal and because Tracy knew her I felt even more comfortable turning my eyelashes over to a stranger.
It has been 3 months since I put on my first set of mink eyelash extensions and this is what I’ll tell you:  THEY’RE WORTH IT!!  I will NEVER go back.  I feel absolutely gorgeous in them and as it turns out they make my morning routine SO much easier and no amount of work on my part could compare!!  I find myself looking in the mirror and saying, “I love my lashes!!”  Seriously.  AND the best thing about it, I don’t have to give up my “natural” look.  My eyelashes are catered to me and what I want.  Is it silly to say that these mink eyelashes have changed my life?  Maybe to you it is.

Tracy's Testimonial

I have always been very jealous of the beautiful girls that had the natural long lush lashes. I always thought they were so beautiful, so feminine. I wore those fake hooker lashes that you buy at WalMart.... but only for events like Halloween or dressing up to the point where you could somewhat get away with them. I loved them... but at the same time they were a pain to put on and too fake looking. I never thought it would be possible to have the eyelashes that I dreamed of. I had to come to accept my lashes and tried to find the perfect mascara that would help my lashes as much as possible.

In the last few years, I knew of eyelash extensions... but I was not going to get them. I knew they were pricey and I would have to go to some fancy salon to get them. I just couldn't justify spending that kind of money. Thank goodness I follow a lot of blogs (being a big blogger myself). I heart the blogging world. This is how I keep in touch with all of my friends that are married and have kids and live in different states. I also follow a lot of craft and recipe blogs which inspire me to create and challenge myself to new projects. Jenni and I used to work together so we had been following eachother's blogs for maybe a year or less. When she posted that she had certified to do eyelash extensions I perked up and wrote her right away. It didn't take much to convince me to set up an appointment with her to get it done. Plus, I adore Jenni and it was good to see her again after not seeing her since we worked together.

I think its kind of drastic to say that the new eyelash extensions changed my life.... but... they kind of changed my life. Not only did it save me time getting ready everyday because I didn't have to curl and put on coats of mascara on my lashes, but everytime I would look in the mirror I would see this more feminin and beautiful version of myself. I would just wake up and felt pretty without even putting on make up. I never thought that was possible. I have had so many compliments on my eyes. Most people can't tell my lashes are fake... they just notice how beautiful my eyes are. What a confidence booster! Then all of the sudden it started raining men! Seriously... I have never dated so much in my life. Whether its the lashes themselves or the added confidence that the lashes give me... it doesn't matter. I have never felt more beautiful as I have with my new lashes. Not sure I can ever go back to my normal lashes. Too many benefits to the new ones. I love the lashes so much that I wanted to refer everyone to Jenni and started this blog for her. She does an amazing job, she has the best price I have seen AND she is just a pleasure to be around. Its a nice excuse for me to get to hang out with her for an hour once a month.

Do I recommend them? Yes, Yes I do.... to EVERY GIRL!! ha ha

*Destiny and Blair*

These two lovely ladies decided to try eyelashes for the first time!

I tried a new thicker- .25 eyelash on these two. (I usually use a .20)
Love the fullness it gave them!

I'm pretty sure they are now addicted:)

Now YOU can look like a Celebrity!

Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan have them, and J. Lo's are made of mink. Madonna's cost $10,000 and are studded with diamonds.

Hollywood is hip to the latest trend. But if you blinked you may have missed it: People are getting eyelash extensions.
"With lash extensions, what they are doing is taking a lash and actually bonding it onto your own lash," said Sally Blenkey-Tchassova, a New York beauty salon owner. "It really looks better than mascara. You don't have the clumpy dirty look. It looks really fresh."
Eyelash extensions started in Asia and made their way west. Unlike traditional false eyelashes that only last one day and are applied on a strip, synthetic eyelash extensions are glued to eyelash hairs one by one with tweezers.
"We are surrounded by celebrity culture and so many celebrity-centric magazines, and everyone wants to look like they are walking down a red carpet," Blenkey-Tchassova said. "This is a way for the average person to look really glamorous really fast."
Beauty salons everywhere are catching on. At the Louis Licari Salon in New York City, eyelash extensions are so popular that appointments must be booked up to months in advance.

Now YOU can look like the fabulous celebrity that you have always wanted!
